The PTFA is a charity organisation set-up to support the school through our fundraising events. The funds provide materials, equipment, and fun activities for the children at the school.
By being a parent or carer of a child at East Markham Primary you are automatically a member. We meet approx. every 4-6 weeks to put together plans for forthcoming events, usually at school or in the village.
Your volunteering support at events we organise such as School Discos, Christmas Fairs and many more throughout the year, would help raise this vital money for items for your child to use at school.
Last year we provided for special events such as the Pantomime trip, Year 6 party, Easter Eggs and Christmas presents.
We would love to have new members on board, come along and share your ideas. Whether you have time to be involved a little or a lot we would love to see you – many hands make light work. Ask your child’s teacher to introduce you to one of the team.
The PTFA AGM was held on the 3rd October. At the meeting the following people were elected to formal roles:
Chair: Sarah Osborne
Vice Chair: Gemma Hobart
Treasurer: Hazel Smith
Other members of the team who help out in many wonderful ways are:
Leigh Booth, Jayne Clarke, Zoe Lowden, Helen Soden, Annie Williams
Making fun things happen for the children is what we like to achieve. Any time you can offer is always welcome, so do join us
