The 1988 Education Reform Act established the statutory requirement for all local authorities to establish a permanent body called a Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE). It is therefore a statutory requirement that schools teach R.E.
Religious Education is well provided in school. R.E. contributes significantly to the school's provision of Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural education and in demonstrating how well our school promotes British Values.
We ensure pupils understand a range of religions and world views which allow them to recognise diversity which exists in our society.
Should you have any questions with regard to the provision of R.E. within school, please do not hesitate to contact the Head Teacher.
